Ade Junior Adekoya was handed four years behind bars on Wednesday, April 28, after admitting possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply. Liverpool Crown Court heard that police patrolling on Longshaw Street in Bewsey spotted the 35-year-old ‘acting suspiciously’ inside a Volkswagen Golf GTI which was parked up on Crosby Avenue in June last year. They followed the car before it began to drive away at high speed, with the vehicle later found abandoned and locked in a nearby car park.

Wednesday evening the Stevens Point Board of Park Commissioners heard from Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director Dan Kremer about the safety protocol draft for 2021’s Riverfront Rendezvous. After being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City is planning for a modified event following outdoor mitigation guidelines. Kremer says the department has been working with City Staff and the Portage County Health Department to put together the procedures and plan draft.
