STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) A yearly holiday tradition will be back in Stevens Point this year with some new safety guidelines in place.
Wednesday evening the Stevens Point Board of Park Commissioners heard from Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director Dan Kremer about the safety protocol draft for 2021’s Riverfront Rendezvous. After being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City is planning for a modified event following outdoor mitigation guidelines.
Kremer says the department has been working with City Staff and the Portage County Health Department to put together the procedures and plan draft. He says conversations for the plan so far have focused on those mitigation protocols. “The biggest element is as much social distancing as possible for people outside your household.
