Andhra Pradesh government signs MoUs with 14 more companies for helping women in business
Speaking on the occasion, various ministers present asserted that the government was taking all measures to develop women as entrepreneurs in the areas they are residing in.

VIJAYAWADA: With an objective to ensure women empowerment and livelihood to six lakh women on a permanent basis through the YSR Cheyutha scheme, the State government exchanged MoUs with 14 companies. Officials exchanged papers in the presence of the Ministers Committee comprising Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy (Panchayat Raj and Rural Development), Botcha Satyanarayana (Municipal Administration and Urban Development) K Kannababu (Agriculture) and Seediri Appala Raju (Animal Husbandry) at a programme held in the Panchayat Raj Commissioner’s office at Tadepalli on Monday.
LT Foods rose 2.20% to Rs 74.35 after the company said that it has partnered with Humankind Group (HKG), USA to explore an opportunity to develop commercial-scale biomass plants.
The plants would help recycle rice paddy straw into green energy and bio-fertilizer in India under its Environment Sustainability Program.
The Biomass India Partnership is a new initiative with the aspiration to become the leading Indian forum for biomass up-cycling. Biomass India is facilitating the development of programs to eliminate the practice of burning agriculture and contribute to the creation of a waste-to-value ecosystem for sustainable products.
HKG is co-founder of Biomass India along with NL Works, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, FMO, and Grameena Vikas Kendram Society for Rural Development (GVK Society).
Air pollution in India is among the highest in the world and poses a serious threat to the populations health. The traditional burning of rice straw is a huge contributor. The rice straw waste itself is valuable because it can be recycled into green energy and bio fertilizer.
