THOMASTON – Trekkers will host its annual road race fundraiser in-person and virtually on June 6, 2021. In it’s 8
th year, it will include traditions from years past – starting and ending at Thomaston Public Library, a whistleblow start, race t-shirts designed by local marketing shop naretiv, and of course, winners and prizes announced all while water, muffins and coffee enjoyed – a fun family event where the community comes together to support local student programming.
When: June 6, 2021. 7:30AM Check-in, 8:30AM start

MIDCOAST The Babe Ruth baseball season got underway Sunday, May 23 in the Midcoast with four of the area’s five teams in action.
This season, the Midcoast Babe Ruth Baseball League consists of five teams: Waldoboro (representing the RSU 40 area), Rockland Ford (representing the RSU 13 area), Granite Coast (representing a portion of the Five Towns area), P.G. Willey (representing a portion of the Five Towns area) and Damariscotta Lions.
Teams will play 10 regular season games and every team will qualify for the league playoffs, with the championship round being a best-of-three series for the first time in more than a decade.

PEABODY, MA Granite Coast Brewing Company entered a whole new world along with everyone else in the industry at the onset of the coronavirus health crisis last spring. We ve been talking about it theoretically for a long time, Amy Luckiewicz, Granite Coast marketing manager and event coordinator, told Patch on Wednesday. When the announcement came up on Monday we got together for an (operations) meeting (Tuesday) night to decide how we were actually going to do it.
