Patel is the the Conservative candidate for the Audley and Queen’s Park ward in Blackburn who, according to the Blackburn Conservatives website, has been “campaigning for a long time for playground equipment in Queens Park to be repaired”.
So, on Wednesday 5 May, Patel decided to film a bizarre campaign video in a playground, but it didn’t quite go to plan.
The Tory candidate wordlessly walked around the play area shaking broken chains and touching equipment to a backing track, before hoisting himself up onto the climbing frame and raising his arms in victory.
Last week, staff at Brooke Point High School in Stafford County enjoyed a salad of butterhead and romaine lettuces with cucumbers, tomatoes and made-from-scratch dressing, all prepared by the schoolâs culinary arts students.
âIt was honestly the best lettuce Iâve ever had in my life,â said Brooke Point Principal Tim Roberts. âYou could tell how fresh it was.â
The greens were fresh because they had been harvested the day before from the vertical farm installed at the end of March by Babylon Micro-Farms, a Richmond-based company that designs and builds smart indoor vertical farming systems.

Two technology companies have announced their intention to merge.
Canadian industrial technology group Eddyfi/NDT announced today the acquisition of London-based Senceive Ltd, a world-leader in the design, manufacture and continuous improvement of wireless condition monitoring technology for civil engineering applications. Senceive will join Eddyfi/NDT as a separate entity and will continue to operate under the Senceive name.

A drive is underway to coordinate the programs offered by the arenas in South River, Sundridge and Burk’s Falls in an effort to make them stronger and better.
