Nam Y. Huh/AP SOUTH BEND, Ind. When Notre Dame and Wisconsin play at Soldier Field on the last Saturday in September, it will mark the first game between the schools in 57 years. That alone should make for tasty viewing, but now there’s the Jack Coan Factor, too. The Badgers’ starting quarterback for 18 games in 2018-19, Coan lost his job to redshirt freshman Graham Mertz after having season-ending surgery on his right foot in early October. Two weeks after entering the transfer portal Dec. 20, Coan landed at Notre Dame as a graduate transfer just as the record-setting Ian Book headed off to pursue a professional career.
Like most of us, many sportsbooks are already leaving 2020 behind to focus on what 2021 may bring.
DraftKings Sportsbook announced its 2021 Heisman Trophy odds on Tuesday, which unsurprisingly features Penn State football’s Sean Clifford and Devyn Ford. Both Nittany Lions were given 100/1 (+10,000) odds to bring home the most prized trophy in college football.

Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler is the favorite to win the trophy with 3/1 odds, according to DraftKings. Rattler led the Sooners to a 9-2 record while throwing for more than 3,000 yards and completing 67.5% of his passes, earning him a 172.6 passer rating.

Czabe and KB have forgotten to talk about the transfer of quarterback Jack Coan from Wisconsin to Notre Dame. KB wonders why coach Brian Kelly did not have a quarterback ready to replace Ian Book…why don’t they have someone ready? It adds an interesting wrinkle into the fact that Wisconsin will play Notre Dame at Soldier Field with Coan taking on Graham Mertz, the quarterback who unseated him in the Badgers backfield. KB says it really does not matter since he still firmly believes that Kelly cannot win the big game at Notre Dame. Hopefully it works out for both teams. (Photo/Getty Images)
Roy Exum: The Saturday Funnies Saturday, January 2, 2021 - by Roy Exum

It was announced yesterday that this weekend was the first time in history more people stayed up until midnight to make sure the year 2020 ended than did to welcome 2021. As one man said, “When I saw the ball drop at Times Square it reminded me of more than what we’ve done in the past year than the start of the New Year!”
So, we begin this New Year on The Saturday Funnies with some 2021 riddles to get you off on the right foot:
RIDDLE NO. 1 – A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50. The boy looked around and saw no scale, so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he ll just say he weighs more or less. In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?
