The plans for St Edwards School in Romsey. Photo: Test Valley Borough Council planning portal A ROMSEY school is looking to demolish three buildings and replace them with a two-storey classroom block. St Edwards in Melchet Court provides day and residential care for boys experiencing social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Working with the developer Barton Willmore, it has submitted a planning application to Test Valley Borough Council. A spokesperson for the school said: The pupils are currently educated in temporary buildings erected in the 1930’s which are in a poor state of repair. The buildings were not designed for children with need and are not fit for purpose. The rooms are cramped, have low ceilings and little natural light.
