The Aramoho Whanganui Rowing Club flag has flown proudly over the past week, celebrating the club winning the women s premier coxless four championship title at Lake Ruataniwha.
While individual club rowers have been successful in various composite combinations over recent seasons, this was a complete Aramoho Whanganui crew, following the decision by officials to enable this event to be contested by individual clubs this year.

Thanks to Iain Lynn and Kirsty Bell, 12 minute-long videos have been made to introduce the main characters and events leading up to the birth of Jesus using the familiar knitted characters.
The clips are aimed at children but can be watched by all the family. The clips are released each morning on Facebook and the Shingay churches YouTube channel
At Melbourn Community Hub, celebrations are still to be had. Bec Barnes has produced activity sheets in the form of Hubby Bear I Spy, and a children’s crossword, both are available at the hub reception. A lit Christmas tree is at the entrance to greet customers, and mince pies are on the menu.
