ANAHEIM, CA There is no shortage of Disney magic in the plans for revamping The Jungle Cruise. The sit-down boat ride is getting a brand gnu update, courtesy of the Disneyland Resort Imagineers.
It s just another thing changing at Disneyland Resort amid the coronavirus closure. Just under one year ago, Disneyland shut their main gates due to the coronavirus pandemic. Though the park has had to lay off employees, and the city of Anaheim has suffered the loss of the largest tourism draw in the county, the minds at Disney continue to modernize and refresh the park.
Disneyland may be closed right now, but its Imagineers have been hard at work, re-envisioning the park’s classic Snow White ride into a magical and less scary adventure.
The new ride, which will be named, Snow White s Enchanted Wish instead of Snow White s Scary Adventure, will trade its frightening forest scenes for Snow White herself dancing with the dwarves, and the scent of apple pie wafting through the air. Details of the new ride were unveiled this week in celebration of 83 years since the movie first premiered in Los Angeles.
“We’re finally giving Snow White the happily ever after that she deserves,” John Gritz, the principal concept designer with Walt Disney Imagineering, said in a video previewing the new ride. “The star of the show is Snow White so we thought it would be really, really important to introduce her early on. Disneyland Shows Off Its Revamped Snow White Ride

Disneyland is sharing a preview of its newly redesigned Snow White ride in Fantasyland, which will be renamed Snow Whiteâs Enchanted Wish.
Disney announced last year that it would upgrade the Snow White s Scary Adventures ride, which had been operating at the park since its opening day (minus the Scary in the name, which was added in 1983 s Fantasyland refurbishment). The revamped attraction now features a new animation system, laser projections, smell effects (including a baking apple pie) and new music.
