When do the Cougars play?
The Cougars open their season on Saturday, March 27
th against the Kamloops Blazers at the Sandman Centre. They conclude their regular season schedule 47 days later on Wednesday, May 12
th against the Blazers. 12 of the Cougars’ 24 games are scheduled either on Friday and Saturday nights or Sunday afternoons. Five games are on Wednesdays, three on Mondays, and two each on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Games in Kamloops and Kelowna begin just after 7:00 pm. Games scheduled on Sundays are at 6:00 pm in both Hub Centres.

“I’ve been to more Briers than most curlers,” says Gagnon, sitting in the lounge area of the Prince George Golf and Curling Club on Wednesday morning.
He hasn’t been playing in those Briers, but he has made it possible for those Briers to be played. Gagnon is an ice technician, and a top one.
“I’m the head provincial ice technician, I’m a national technician with the Canadian Curling Association, and I’m a head ice technician with the World Curling Federation.”
So it’s no surprise Gagnon is in Prince George this week, making sure the ice for the Scotties BC Women’s Curling Championships is the best it can be.

Cougars Vice-President of Business, Andy Beesley told MyPGNow.com, while the final cost hasn’t been determined, the bill for the ownership group will be steep.
“When you add the cost for all of the PPE equipment, the testing, we are going for the very best testing you can get privately in addition to the hotels, the meals, travel, equipment, and staffing costs suffice to say it’s going to be a profound amount of money that we will be paying for this.”
However, Beesley added there is a huge sigh of relief now that their proposal has been greenlit.
