LEMOORE, Calif. â Assemblymember Salas, D-Bakersfield, joined the Lemoore Police Department and Kings County community for a tree-planting ceremony to honor Officer Jonathan Diaz, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in 2019 while responding to a domestic violence call.
because of Officer Diazâs heroic actions, he was able to save the life of a pregnant woman and get her to safety before the situation escalated. The ceremony was also held in recognition of Crime Victims Rights week with other families who have been impacted by crime.

HANFORD â The Kings County Sheriff s Office and the Lemoore Police Department have arrested a man on suspicion of possessing child pornography.
On Jan. 25, a Kings County Sheriffâs Office detective assigned as a Special Deputy U.S. Marshall attached to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Fresno Office, was advised David Huff of Lemoore had allegedly sent an email containing child pornography.Â
Over the course of the investigation it was determined Huff sent a work email to approximately 10 co-workers which contained several document attachments. Also attached to the email was one image which depicted child pornography, according to police.Â
A search warrant was written for Huffâs residence to seize all electronics and data storage devices. The warrant was reviewed and authorized by the Kings County Superior Court.Â
HANFORD â Kings County Sheriffâs Office arrested a domestic disturbance suspect Tuesday after he shared his location on social media and said to âcome getâ him.
Around 7:20 p.m., deputies said they were dispatched to a domestic disturbance call in the 6000 block of 16th Avenue. The victim reported the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Reynaldo Guillen, assaulted her and her child.
According to Kings County Dispatch, the victim was out of breath and the dispatcher could hear a child screaming in the background.
The victim told KCSO officials that Guillen was out of control and had pushed her, threw a plate at her and was trying to choke the victimâs 16-year-old daughter. The victim also said Guillen pointed a handgun at her and threatened to kill her.
HANFORD â Kings County Sheriffâs deputies arrested a man on suspicion of invasion of privacy and possession of child pornography after he allegedly video recorded others using a restroom, officials said.
Around 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 23, KCSO officials said a deputy was contacted regarding an illegal video recording investigation in the 9900 block of Coast Avenue.
The deputy contacted the reporting party, who stated a male subject, identified as 59-year-old Gary Canalez, used a cell phone to take videos of the residents in the home while they used the restroom.
Officials said a family member located the cell phone, which was hidden behind the toilet, and noticed the phone was set to record. They said the reporting party looked through the videos on the cell phone and found Canalez had recorded them using the restroom, as well as a resident over the age of 65 using the restroom, without permission.
