Iron Man Star Shares Update About Cancer Battle
Jeff Bridges, who played the role of Obadiah Stane in Iron Man, shared an important update about his health after revealing his cancer battle.
On Twitter, the actor updated his fans and followers with a life lately post. According to Bridges, he shaved his head and got a puppy two months after being diagnosed with Lymphoma.
Per the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the disease is a type of cancer that extensively attacks a person s lymph system. This includes the organs that provide, protect, and carry white blood cells.
Despite the prognosis, Bridges held his head high and shaved off his hair instead.

VERONA, Va. (WHSV) The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank has been awarded $15,340.24 from No Kid Hungry to help with the added staffing and equipment costs required to expand and adapt its programs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a press release from No Kid Hungry Virginia, an estimated one-in-five children in the commonwealth could face hunger this year, up from one-in-eight prior to the pandemic.
No Kid Hungry has announced a total of $2.4 million in grants to 68 schools and community organizations across Virginia that are providing free meals for kids.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused childhood hunger to soar to record-level highs. 1 in 3 children in Texas could face hunger this year because of this health and economic crisis.
But hunger is a problem we can actually fix. If Congress temporarily increases SNAP benefits by 15%, families in need would receive an additional $25 per person each month. This benefit is a lifeline for those in our state who are facing extreme hardship - unemployment, rising food prices, eviction and hunger - because of this pandemic.
Itâs critical that Congress gets to work on legislation that includes this SNAP increase. SNAP is one of the most effective ways to feed people and stimulate our economy.

Grimaldi s Pizzeria said its fundraising initiatives this year have helped it donate $110,000 to the non-profit, No Kid Hungry, according to a news release. Since the brand began its support of the cause in 2013, Grimaldi s Pizzeria has raised more than $1 million to fight childhood hunger nationwide.
In September, Grimaldi s gave customers bounce-back cards to match donations to No Kid Hungry in increments of $5, up to a total of $25 per visit, which also contributed to the cause. Despite the challenges we ve faced as a nation, within the restaurant industry, and at a personal level this year, I am so proud to see the way our communities have come together to continue supporting No Kid Hungry s efforts to end childhood hunger, said Eric Greenwald, president of Grimaldi s Pizzeria.
