IRON MOUNTAIN Lynn M. Loper, 64, formerly of Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Iron County Medical Care Facility, following a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
She was born Feb. 22, 1957, daughter of the late Edgar and Patricia Loper. Lynn was a 1975 graduate of Kingsford High School. Her loving and compassionate nature led her to a degree in education from Northern Michigan University, as well as her master’s degree later on, which she put to good use for many years helping special needs children in the Madison, Wis. school district.
Lynn is survived by sisters, Karen Loper of Iron Mountain and Terri (Jim) Rose of Quinnesec; three nieces, Amanda (Jakub) Cervena-Rose, Jessica (Shawn) Rose and Ashley Rose; nephew, Mike (Heather) Bricker; and great-nephews, Daniel, Joseph and Hayden. She is also survived by many special family members and friends.

IRON MOUNTAIN Jeff Harry has become an agent at Leeds Real Estate, 1114 Carpenter Ave. in Iron Mountain.
Harry is a lifelong area resident. Born and raised in Dickinson County, he is an Iron Mountain High School graduate who lettered in football at Northern Michigan University while earning a degree with a mathematics major and computer science minor. He then achieved a master’s degree plus 36 credit hours. Harry has been a teacher and coach for the past 31 years.
He recently earned his drone remote pilot certificate and can market a property from a unique perspective. He is licensed both in Michigan and Wisconsin.

ALBION, Mich. Albion College announces students who were named to the dean’s list or who were named new Albion College Fellows at the end of the fall 2020 semester.
Dean’s list honors recognize students with a minimum 3.5 grade-point average in four graded courses, while Albion College Fellow is an honor reserved for students who maintain a minimum 3.7 GPA over three consecutive semesters.
Eddie Cardew, a first-year student, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester. Cardew is a resident of Sagola and is a graduate of Kingsford High School.
Mackenzie Rundell, a first-year student, was named to the dean’s list. She is a member of the Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program. Rundell is a resident of Kingsford and is a graduate of Kingsford High School.
