Weather get colder as KP receives rain National PESHAWAR: Rain and snowfall lashed parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, increasing the chill in hilly areas. In the provincial capital, the drizzle started in the afternoon, bringing the temperature down. Though the rain continued for a short interval, the clouds hovered over the sky from the morning. It also rained during the night. The rain lashed the plain areas In Swat while mountainous areas including Kalam Valley received snowfall. Kalam Hotels Association president Abdul Wadood said that Kalam hills received heavy snowfall, turning the weather colder. He added that despite the cold wave, tourists in large numbers have thronged the valley. The hotels in Bahrain and other areas also received a good number of tourists.

Peshawar February 14, 2021 NOWSHERA: Two patients died of Covid-19 while 33 more tested positive for the viral infection in the district on Saturday. With the new casualties, the fatalities from the coronavirus reached 67 in the district. Briefing media, Deputy Commissioner Mir Reza Ozgen, District Health Officer Dr Gulman Shah and Dr Yaseen Khan said that 72-year old Saeed and Salim Khan were infected by the fatal virus and had been under treatment at the Qazi Medical Complex, Nowshera, for the last several days. However, both the patients expired despite hectic efforts by the doctors to save their lives. The officials said that the number of coronavirus-infected patients were increasing with passage of time as people were ignoring the standard operating procedures (SOPs) against the viral infection.

Deputy Commissioner Mir Reza Ozgen, District Health Officer Dr Gulman Shah and Dr Yaseen Khan told media that the number of coronavirus-infected patients was increasing as people were ignoring the standard operating procedures (SOPs) against the fast-spreading viral infection. They said that 26more suspected patients tested positive for the coronavirus that took the number of patients suffering from the viral infection to 2,149.The officials added that 18,161 patients had recovered from the fatal infection in the district so far.

12 more test for Covid-19 as Nowshera hits 1,958 mark

National January 19, 2021 NOWSHERA: Twelve more suspected patients reported positive for the coronavirus, raising the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases to 1,958 in the district on Monday. Deputy Commissioner Mir Raza Ozgan, District Health Officer Dr Gulman Shah and Dr Yaseen Khan told media that the surge of coronavirus-infected patients continued unabated with the passage of time as people were ignoring the standard operating procedures (SOPs) against the fast-spreading viral infection. They said that 12 more suspected patients tested positive for the coronavirus that took the number of patients suffering from the viral infection to 1,958. The officials added that 1,634 patients had recovered from the fatal infection in the district so far. They said that active cases of coronavirus were now 265 in which several patients were under treatment at the Qazi Medical Complex, while the rest were quarantined at own homes.
