Now, as we ve patched the lunch hour and we still got some snow flurries across parts of the area of Vicksburg, a few snow flurries still, but the main system off to the east. Now again, just to remind you the blue line is the freezing line out ahead of that area of low pressure. Some nice thunderstorms have, uh, kicked up on the Gulf Coast. Could be a severe weather watch. Later this afternoon across the Florida Panhandle, courses that move through our area. We had some thunder, freezing rain, thunder, sleet and thunder snows. There was a very impactful storm system around the Jackson metro area. Sleet spared us from ice accumulations. Great news there. Show Transcript We ve seen showers through the region this afternoon and continuing through the evening and overnight hours. The rain that we re seeing it around five o clock this evening is just the start of it. We are seeing a few thunderstorms this evening, and that s going to continue to be the trend through the rest of the night, back often toward Louisiana. There s where that cold front lives from parts of Rustin over towards Jonesborough and Leesville this evening again continue to push off towards the east, so we have heavy rain that is going to continue through later on this evening and into the early morning hours. Show Transcript All right, We re in for a Sunday soaker forward today. A cold front moving through with showers and thunderstorms. It s gonna be coming through later on tonight, Uh, right around the 89 o clock timeframe. So it s going to be moving out though a quick hitting system, and we re turning much cooler for the start of next week. Temperature is gonna be well below average cool and dry this morning. We do have a dis fog advisory in effect for area south and east of Jackson for the counties shaded in gray. Right here. So these areas from Raleigh to McGee down towards work, Eva McComb, and just south of matches of visibilities, air down to about a half a mile in some areas. So if you re traveling down I 55 or highway 49 be aware of that this morning temperature starting out today in the thirties and the forties were 39 for Qazi Esco in Carthage, 4
