Youth Electrocuted To Death, Another Injured SRINAGAR:  A youth was electrocuted to death while another was injured after they came in contact with a live wire in Shurat village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday afternoon. Quoting official sources news agency KNO reported  that the duo came in contact with a live wire and were immediately rushed to GMC Anantnag, where one of them was declared dead on arrival. They identified the deceased as Zakir Ahmad Khanday son of Shabir Ah Khanday and injured as Shavaaz Ahmad Dar son of Shabir Ahmad Dar, both from Shurat Kulgam. Medical superintendent GMC Anantnag Dr Mohammad Iqbal Sofi said that hospital received two youth among them one was declared dead on arrival.

Two Govt Vehicles, Departmental Records Damaged In Blaze SRINAGAR: Two government vehicles as well as some records including the service books of employees were damaged after a massive fire broke out in the Irrigation and Flood Control’s (I&FC) division office here in the Gogjibagh area of Srinagar. Quoting official sources news agency KNO reported that fire broke out in the building, housing I&FC division office at Gogjibagh area. They said some departmental records including the service books of employees were damaged in the blaze, adding that two government vehicles bearing registration number JK01-1504 and JKD-6484 were also damaged in the blaze.

32-Year-Old Man Among Six More Die Of COVID-19 In JK, Toll 4,107

SRINAGAR: A 32-year-old man was among six persons who succumbed to COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir since Monday evening, officials said. Quoting officials news agency GNS reported that three deaths were reported from Jammu division and as many from Kashmir valley, taking the death toll due to the infection so far to 4107. The 32-year-old man was from Ramnagar Jammu and died at GMC Jammu where two more patients succumbed to the infection since Monday evening. A 60-year-old woman from Newa Pulwama died at SKIMS Soura, less than two days after she was admitted to the tertiary care hospital. A 65-year-old woman from Hassanpora Anantnag died at GMC Anantnag, 11 days after she was admitted to the facility.
