25-Year-Old Youth Dies By Suicide In South Kashmir

SRINAGAR: A 25-year-old youth was found lying dead in his room in Sanziwatoora village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday evening. Ishfaq Ahmed Wani son of Bashir Ahmad who ended ended his life possibly by hanging himself at his residence at Sanziwatoora village on Wednesday 9,2021. Quoting a police official news agency KDC reported that a youth identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Wani son of Bashir Ahmad Wani ended his life possibly by hanging himself at his residence at Sanziwatoora village. He said that the youth was immediately rushed to district hospital Pulwama where doctors declared him dead. The body will be handed over to the family only after completing necessary medical formalities, he said.

Cyber Police Kashmir Saves Rs 6 Lakhs Lost In Remote Access Mobile Application Scam SRINAGAR: Cyber Police Station Kashmir Zone, Srinagar on Wednesday claimed to have recovered Rs 6 lakh from online fraudsters. In a statement, Cyber Police said that multiple complaints were received in past one week wherein complainants were duped by fraudsters through ‘Remote Access Mobile Application Scam’. “Many complainants were duped of lakhs of rupees on the software platform. The scamsters impersonated BSNL/JIO customer care representatives and sent fake messages on the victims’ mobile phones asking them to complete the KYC of their sim cards and giving a warning message that the SIM cards will be deactivated in case they failed to comply with the directions,” the Cyber Police in a statement said.

A police spokesman in a statement said that acting tough against the crime against women, Police in Awantipora have arrested a person involved in making an audio clip and later viral the said audio clip on social media to defame/insult modesty of a girl. “Today one girl (name withheld) lodged a written complaint at Police Station Tral alleging therein that one accused person namely Rajinder Singh resident of Gudpora, Tral has recorded her conversation with him and made it viral on social media – thereby intimidated her and insulted her modesty,” said the spokesman.
