Every list put together of the all-time best cars has attracted its fair share of praise and criticism. We all have our preferences, of course, and these won t align with what the next person deems important or not in a car. However, not too many people would complain about the final result of Ford s own #FordFrenzy tournament in which social media users voted for the greatest Ford of all time.
64 classic Fords spanning many decades and market segments competed. In a top 2 battle between the 2020 Mustang GT500 and the 1965 Mustang Shelby GT350, it was the old-timer that emerged with the win as the best Ford ever. Once the final votes were tallied, it wasn t even that close.

Although itâs been eight years since his passing, Carroll Shelbyâs motoring legacy continues to shine as bright as it always has, thanks in large part to Fordâs efforts, the Ford vs Ferrari big-screen flick, and the ongoing love for the manâs former projects.
Among the most obvious of these projects is the AC Cobra 427 that Shelby helped reinvent in the US as a world-beating sports car. Shelby himself owned one, and that very car sold over the weekend for a stupendous amount of money.
