So, this actually goes up back to April 2020. So, we’re finally going 14 or 15 months later,” said cruiser Kelly Levy. For Levy and her mom, who booked their trip several weeks ago, they couldn’t wait to hit the high seas again.

Landry’s, the company behind Bubba Gump Shrimp & Co., on Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier and other multiple concepts is hosting a job fair this Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Galveston Island Convention Center. Houston-area residents and Galveston residents are invited to apply or inquire about one or many positions including retail associates, food & beverage attendants, ride operators, and more. Applicants at the job fair will receive a $250 signing bonus if they’re hired on the spot. The bonus will be split into two payments beginning 30 days after starting their new job and again at 90 days after the date.

Phillip) HOUSTON (CN) As Galveston County gears up for throngs of beachgoing spring breakers, it’s already a destination for Covid-weary Texans signing up on its take-all-comers vaccine wait list. “Look what I got today! Galveston County. Nice that they’re finally more available,” a 52-year-old woman tweeted Tuesday with a photo of her holding up a card showing she had received her first dose of the Moderna vaccine. “I’m now scheduled to get the vaccine this week!!” Katie Livingood, an employee of NASA’s Johnson Space Center wrote Wednesday in a tweet directing other Galveston County residents to sign up for its wait list, which is managed by the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
