BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Former LSU Athletics Director Joe Alleva recommended firing former Head Football Coach Les Miles in 2013 because of the coachâs alleged inappropriate contact with female students, an official investigation into the incident found.
At the time, Miles was accused of kissing a student, sending text messages to female students, and taking some of them to his off-campus condo alone. He denied kissing the student and has not been accused of any sexual relationships with any of them.

Oregon has landed verbal commitment No. 5 in the 2022 class. From a very off-the-radar name.
This time the Ducks have gone back into Mississippi for offensive lineman Percy Lewis. The 6-foot-9, 360-pounder is a massive get for the Ducks, figuratively and literally. He’s currently set to play another season at Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. before heading to Eugene.
Last year Oregon nearly signed cornerback JaDarrius Perkins from the same program.
Once his degree is finished, Lewis should have 3 to play 2 at Oregon.
Auburn and others had offered previously as his recruitment was starting to take off. Additionally Oregon’s new director of recruiting, Cody Woodiel, has ties to the Mississippi area both as a coach and is familiar with recruiting the area.

Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian thinks his program should be ready to compete against elite programs like the Alabama Crimson Tide. In his words at least.
“My time with coach Saban was tremendous,” Sarkisian said during an interview on 105.3 The Fan earlier this week. “He’s a great mentor of mine. He’s a tremendous coach. He’s a tremendous leader. Obviously, we’re different people, with different niches. He’s a defensive guy, I’m an offensive guy, and the idea is that, hopefully, we are going into the same living room back-to-back nights competing for the same players off the field.”

Cal announced on Wednesday that linebacker Ieremia Moore of St. John Bosco High School signed his letter of intend to join Cal s 2021 recruiting class.
Moore is the 21st member of the Golden Bears 2021 class, with the other 20 players signing during the early signing period in December. The 247Sports website ranks Cal s 2021 class as the 28th-best in the country and third-best in the Pac-12. Rivals ranks the Bears class 39th overall and fifth in the conference..
Moore was listed as a strong-side defensive end on the recruiting sites, but Cal sees him as a linebacker. That could change when Moore gets on campus because the New Zealand native has never played in an organized football game.
