Jim Duncan was all set to lead last year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, thinking he knew what to expect. What he didn’t expect was that it would be canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The study, published on the preprint server bioRxiv , highlights the need to study viral evolution and pathogenesis in human and animal hosts. This could help prevent future outbreaks that may mimic the magnitude of the current COVID-19 pandemic.

ARONEY, Ala. (WAFF) - A DeKalb County couple who says their dogs were poisoned now have test results confirming just that. Now, they’re offering a reward to find out who did it.
Tony and Deneen Bearden tell WAFF they recently received confirmation their dogs were poisoned by food found on a plate in the woods near their home.
One of the dogs was taken to the state veterinary lab in Boaz, before being sent to Auburn University for further investigation.
