Lenoir Man Charged With Felony Trafficking Offense

30-year-old Antonio Christopher Patterson of Early Place in Lenoir was arrested Sunday (May 9) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony traffic in opium or heroin. Patterson was brought to the Caldwell County Detention Center under $50,000 secured bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today (May 10).

33-year-old Justin Marqui Caldwell and 28-year-old Stephanie Nicole Laws, both of Kite Drive in Lenoir, were arrested Wednesday (May 5) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. They’re each charged with two felony counts of trafficking in methamphetamine. The North Carolina Judicial Branch website also shows each suspect being charged with felony manufacture, sale, delivery, or possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park.

48-year-old Timothy Michael Powell of Deerbrook Road in Lenoir was arrested Tuesday (May 4) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with three counts of felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and single felony counts of possession of a stolen firearm and chop shop activity. Powell was brought to the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. No court date was listed.

An investigation Saturday in Lyon County led to the arrest of a Princeton man for unlawful imprisonment and other charges.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to Buzzard Rock Road in Kuttawa for an assault complaint and found a female victim who had been assaulted.
The alleged perpetrator, 50-year old Patrick Sheridan of Princeton, had fled the area.
A news release says the victim had obvious injuries and reported Sheridan held her against her will on a boat and would not allow her to leave.
He also allegedly threatened to kill her and her grandchildren. Sheridan also allegedly took the victim’s cellular phone in order to prevent her from summoning help.

Two deputies were killed and three other people, including the gunman, were found dead after a 13-hour standoff in Boone on Wednesday, the Watauga County sheriff said.
Authorities said the two deputies died in the shooting that prompted a daylong standoff Wednesday that dragged into the night with law enforcement officers surrounding a home.
The sheriff identified the gunman as 32-year-old Isaac Alton Barnes. Officials believe he died by suicide.
