Clark Planetarium welcomes patrons back after pandemic closure

The planetarium, which closed to the public in late November due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, has reopened with safety measures in place. Patrons can check out planetarium’s free exhibits from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., seven days a week, and tickets to educational documentaries and star shows, shown in the afternoon, will be available for purchase for $7. Space is limited and reservations are required even for the free exhibits and can be made at clarkplanetarium.org.

(WWSB) - Two men were arrested during an investigation into a string of bicycle thefts in Manatee County. Manatee County detectives were provided information that Caleb Hatfield was storing stolen bicycles in a storage unit in the 8400 block of Cortez Road West. Hatfield had an active warrant from Sarasota for bicycle thefts. Deputies caught up with Hatfield at Hideaway Storage and was taken into custody. Also at the storage unit was Levi Oxendine who had an active arrested warrant for violation of drug court.
