ISLAMABAD: Two people died after battling with Covid-19 in the capital on Thursday and 62 people were diagnosed with the disease.
During the last 24 hours 3,682 tests were conducted and the positivity rate was 1.6pc. As many as 140 patients reportedly recovered from the virus.
Officials of the capital administration said that the deceased, both female patients, were from the 50-89 age group. Both were residents of I-9 and B-17, they added. There are 2,687 active cases in the city, they added.

One person succumbed to Covid-19 in the district on Thursday and 26 people were diagnosed with the disease whereas 27 people were discharged from hospitals after recovering.

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Deputy Commissioner has announced the award for the acquisition of ancestral houses of Indian film legend stars Dilip Kumar and Raj Kapoor, after which the ownership of both the houses have been transferred to the Director Archeology and Museum Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Department of Archeology and Museums has taken possession of both houses late Monday night. The provincial government had decided in 2020 to convert both houses into museums.
According to two award letters issued from the office of Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, the archeology department had decided to buy both houses to convert them into museums.
