Wei Shihao misses China s outdoor training through leg injury

SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates, June 9 (Xinhua) Midfielder Wei Shihao did not take part in the Chinese men s football team s outdoor training due to a leg injury on Tuesday. The 26-year-old instead took an indoor recovery training with the players who started in China s 2-0 win over the Philippines in a World Cup qualifier on the previous day, according to the Chinese side s social media. The Chinese side said Wei suffered a light leg injury. The other players had an outdoor training session at the Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium of Sharjah, it said.

Hanoi â Vietnam drew 1-1 with Jordan in their friendship match that took place on early June 1 (Vietnam time) at Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ahead of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The match was held behind the closed doors without the attendance of the press and spectators.
In the 11th minute, Jordan opened the scoreboard. Conceding the goal early, Vietnam quickly switched to offence to find an equaliser.
In the 25th minute, Vietnam equalised as a Jordan player scored an own goal.
