Translating Urgency Into Action on Water, Climate, and Security
“We need to devote our full attention to the relationship between water, climate, and security, increase understanding of the issue, and take urgent action,” said Carola van Rijnsoever, Director of Inclusive Green Growth at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at a recent Hague roundtable on building a transatlantic coalition for climate action on water and security challenges in countries of risk.
“It’s time to move past the talking and develop practices, and put the practices into play,” said Sharon Burke, Senior Advisor and Director of the Resource Security group at New America. One way to achieve this is by expanding a community of practice that can show tangible results about how this partnership advances the security of our peoples, she said.
Greece Documents Largest Drop in Carbon Emissions in EU for 2020

Greece is the European Union (EU) member country with the most significant annual drop in carbon emissions according to Eurostat data released on Friday.
Eurostat’s report shows that carbon emissions fell in all EU countries, but Greece had the largest decrease of all, with a decrease of 18.7% in their emissions last year.

” width=”1080″>The “European Green Deal” is an EU-wide policy whose aim is to get the entirety of Europe to be climate neutral by 2050. The more immediate goal of the European Green Deal is to decrease emissions by at least 55% by 2030 compared to levels recorded in 1990.

President Biden s State Department dragged its feet for weeks before releasing climate czar John Kerry s public financial disclosures, which revealed new details about Kerry s wealth, including that he received $5 million from Bank of America as chair of the bank s Global Advisory Council.
Fox News first requested a copy of Kerry s financial disclosures on April 9 to no avail. While such requests are typically fulfilled in a day or two, that wasn t the case here and it s not clear why.
Fox News sent the State Department five total requests for the documents before they were released, despite communications with an agency spokesperson who directed Fox News to contact the same email address to which the requests had already been sent.
