Motorists could soon be paying less to park in Stamford.
South Kesteven District Council is planning to drop fees at its short-stay car parks to 2008 levels in a bid to encourage shoppers to stay longer and help struggling traders.
The current £1 charge for an hourâs parking would be cut to 80p and a four-hour stay would drop from £8 to £4.

Irish language channel TG4 has revealed a new brand identity and range of animated idents, to match the platform’s positioning of “Expect the unexpected”.
The updated look has been designed by London-based agency Red Bee Creative and has begun to roll out. The work was a collaboration with TG4’s in-house design team.

TG4’s logo has been deconstructed to provide a more “liberated visual language,” says Red Bee Creative head of design Jane Fielder.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A chilly day on the South Plains as highs remained in the upper 40s to mid 50s with winds gusting over 25 mph.
The winds will return tomorrow, along with the clouds, however, it will be warmer. I expect afternoon temperatures in the low to mid 60s over most of the area.
It will also remain mostly cloudy as moisture streams into the region ahead of a strong storm system moving this way. That system will bring us a slight chance of isolated showers and storms early Saturday.
