Inverclyde Voices have handed over £10,000 from a string of successful online concerts and events. The big-hearted bunch defied the pandemic for the compassionate place of care after it was selected as their dedicated charitable cause for 2020. Despite none of the usual events in the calendar taking place, conductor Palma Allan MBE ensured that members have still been rehearsing each week and dedicating their efforts to fundraising. Palma, who has been at the heart of the choir for over 15 years, said: We had a whole year of activities planned but with the restrictions we had to change our approach. We ve been holding online concerts and virtual choirs since March and we ve probably been able to raise just as much virtually as we would ve at our usual venues.
