Liz Sours of Selawik won the Gunner 120 snowmachine race out of a field of 28 women last weekend. Organized by the Arctic Circle Racing Association, racers traveled across rough terrain from Kotzebue to Noorvik and back. Sours was riding on an Arctic Cat 600 snowmachine and had a time of 1:28:24. Other winners included Katrina Carter, who took first in the open class, Dessirea Kenworthy, who placed first in the fan class and Alanna Conwell, who won the rookie of the race award.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The homeless encampment known as âTent Cityâ in North End of Charlotte has been cleared out less than a week after residents were told they had to vacate the premises.
Mecklenburg County officials issued an abatement order last week that gave residents 72 hours to leave.
County officials said the reason the abatement order was issued was because of the growing rat infestation. Residents had to leave by 5 p.m. Friday.
