Kiaro Chilton, 35, charged with second-degree murder, possession of a weapon, two counts of breach of probation, and one count of breach of bail, had her case addressed in Superior Court assignment court Tuesday. A return date of Sept. 7 was set.

Chilton is now being represented by Mary Cremer of Toronto. Chilton had been represented by veteran local lawyer Robert Beckett.
Chilton was committed to trial by Ontario Court Justice Andre Guay following a multi-day preliminary hearing that started in late October and continued into November of 2020.
