(2018 File / Superior Telegram) Superior’s outdoor skating rinks are opening in time for the holidays with special holiday hours for the warming sheds at Wade Bowl, Pattison, Carl Gullo and South End. The rinks and warming sheds will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24 to Sunday, Dec. 27. On Christmas Day, the warming shed at Carl Gullo will be closed.

The city announced that Wade Bowl, Pattison, Carl Gullo and South End rinks and warming sheds will open on December 24th through the 27th from 11 AM - 9 PM. With Wade Bowl, Pattison, and South End rinks open on Christmas Day. On Saturday, December 26th the City will begin to open additional rinks, and they say that they hope to have all the rinks and warming sheds open by the week of December 28th. Beginning on Monday, December 28th, the rinks will start their regular hours of 4 PM -9 PM on weekdays, 1 PM - 9 PM on Saturdays and 1 PM - 8 PM on Sundays.

Fox21Online December 21, 2020 SUPERIOR, Wis.– With the extra snow and winter break ahead, the city of Superior is getting their ice rinks going again this week. The city of Superior is opening their outdoor ice rinks and warming houses. Rinks will open on Christmas Eve at Wade Bowl, Pattison, Carl Gullo, and South End parks. Masks are encouraged when on the ice and are required when in the buildings, a 10 minute limit inside the warming houses, and surfaces will be sanitized at least twice daily. “We want to offer this to the community because I know a lot of people have been cooped up and there’s not much to do and this is a nice, safe outdoor activity for the whole family. So we’re really excited to get it started,” said Cyndi Dennis, Skating Program Coordinator for the City of Superior.
