Athens, Jun 26 (Prensa Latina) Greek communists have reiterated their friendship and support to Cuba and their absolute rejection to the US blockade, of almost six decades of existence.
In the opening speech of the 21st Congress of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) on Friday, its secretary general, Dimitris Koutsompas, highlighted that position of its militants and praised the victory of Cuba in the voting, on June 23rd, at the UN General Assembly, that backed up Havana s resolution.
He deemed that policy of US administrations that is still applied after almost 60 years as genocidal. Invited to address the forum, Cuban ambassador to Greece, Zelmys María Domínguez thanked the militant and permanent solidarity of the KKE towards Cuba, as well as the positive vote of Greece in favor of the Cuban resolution at the UN.

Reuters piece about a speech held by China s President Xi Jinping reveals how western reporting skew the view of global issues:
BOAO, China (Reuters) - Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday called for a rejection of hegemonic power structures in global governance, amid growing tensions between Washington and Beijing over a widening range of issues including alleged human rights abuses.
Speaking at the annual Boao Forum for Asia, Xi criticised efforts by some countries to build barriers and decouple , which he said would harm others and benefit no one.
China has long called
for reforms of the global governance system to better reflect a more diverse range of perspectives and values from the international community, including its own, instead of those of a few major nations.

Before and after its revolution, Cuba s soul has been found in its music, says SOPHIA DEBOICK
Despite existing in a silo for decades, Cuban music has swept the world. The long-standing post-revolution embargo has seen artists struggle to get visas to play in the all-important US, and the thaw of relations begun by the Obama administration has been rolled back under Trump, but Cuban rhythms have proved irresistible and artists from the capital and cultural centre of the island in particular have received international recognition.

Cutting marabú. todo cuba
The contempt for the people harbored by the political-military leadership headed by Raúl Castro is evidenced by its rejoicing over its success in signing new contracts to boost the export of charcoal based on sicklebush, or marabú, the invasive plant that sprawls over idle state agricultural lands and constitutes one of the main causes of hunger on the island.
The director of Coratur S.A., one of the many companies making up the state/capitalist monstrosity created by the military, recently reported, exultant, that contracts had been signed to also export sicklebush charcoal to China. Why the elation? People cannot eat it, nor do any animals, but it bolsters the coffers of the military cadre that has usurped power in Cuba. It s that simple.
