Three people charged with robbery and kidnap following Carlisle incidents

Three people from Carlisle have been charged with robbery and kidnap following two reports received to police on Thursday.
The first incident happened at around 1.20am at Borland Avenue.
A 20-year-old man was delivering food and alcohol and reported to police that he was threatened by two males who made off with the delivery. The man was uninjured.
The second incident happened at around 2am  in the area of Holywell Crescent.
A 20-year-old man was forced at knifepoint to drive to a cash point and withdraw cash. The man suffered a minor facial injury.
Police have arrested and charged three people for kidnapping and robbery. The arrests came after two reports were received on Thursday, January 28. The first incident occurred at about 1.20am on January 28 at Borland Avenue, Carlisle. Man jailed for two-and-a-half years for supplying drugs
A 20-year-old man from Bowness-on-Windermere has been sentenced to two-and-a-half years for drug supply offences.
Ben Cook, of Church Street, was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday for being concerned in the supply of class A drug cocaine.
He also received concurrent sentencing for acquiring criminal property, supplying a controlled drug of class B drugs – cannabis and possession with intent to supply cannabis.
On Friday July 17 2020 at around 7:40am officers executed a misuse of drugs act warrant at a property on Church Street, Bowness-on-Windermere.
Upon searching the property officers found a black bucket containing cannabis bush which was located in the living room along with paraphernalia associated with the supply of drugs.
Two more deny alleged murder of Carlisle man Lee McKnight

Two more people have pleaded not guilty to the alleged murder of a man whose body was found in a river in Carlisle.
A total of seven people have been charged as part of a large scale probe by detectives into the death of 26-year-old Lee McKnight.
Mr McKnightâs body was found in the River Caldew in the Blackwell Hall area near Cummersdale by police who had received a call just before 5-30am on 24th July last year.
At Carlisle Crown Court last week, two women, a man and an 18-year-old male all pleaded not guilty to a charge which alleges the murder of Mr McKnight.
