CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas Homebound seniors who are not a part of the Meals on Wheels program will be able to sign up Friday to receive the vaccine next week.
“Thank you to the residents who have been patiently waiting for their turn. We are happy to open up the program so homebound residents in the City can get their vaccination,” said Corpus Christi Fire Chief Robert Rocha.

Governor Abbott s visit to Corpus Christi has been canceled due to âimpending winter weather,â said Mayor Paulette Guajardo. The mayor tells KRIS 6 News that the governors office will be in touch to reschedule his visit at a later date.

Gov. Greg Abbott is planning to visit Corpus Christi next week.
The governor will be meeting with city officials to learn about the execution and implementation of the Saving our Seniors COVID-19 home vaccination program, said Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo.
