CORNWALL, Ontario – Cornwall City Council voted to keep moving forward with the proposed new fire hall in the north end of the city, despite the fact that a promised training facility is not included in the current design.
The lack of a training facility in the current design of the proposed fire hall, which would be located at the corner of Brookdale Ave. and Tollgate Rd., was quickly leapt upon by councillors.

CORNWALL, Ontario – The City of Cornwall is reporting that three families have been displaced by a fire that took place early Saturday morning, May 22.
According to a witness, the fire occurred at around 2 a.m. on Glen Brook Dr. in Cornwall’s east end near Boundary Rd.
The City of Cornwall states that three homes were on fire when Cornwall Fire Services arrived on the scene.
The City states that all individuals were safely evacuated.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated and the Office of the Fire Marshal has been notified.

CORNWALL, Ontario – City of Cornwall offices are closed on Monday, May 24.
The landfill is closed on May 24 and there will be no garbage and recycling collection. Collection will be pushed back a day for the rest of the week.
Cornwall Transit buses will not be running.
Parks and playgrounds are open, but some outdoor team sport facilities are closed. Please be safe: avoid large gatherings, wear your mask, and keep your distance.
