Gov. Cuomo announced Tuesday construction of the Albany Skyway will begin this month.
The plan is to transform a ramp off Interstate 787 into an elevated park.
It will give pedestrians and cyclists another way to reach the Corning Riverfront Park and the Mohawk-Hudson Bike Trail.
The governor says the state Department of Transportation will oversee the $12 million project, which should be completed by the end of the year.
