The outdoor skating rink at the Westview Dry Pond has been well received, says the mayor.
“It’s been really welcomed by the community, so I really do appreciate everyone involved who’s taken this on,” she said during the Jan. 4 council meeting.

Neil Smith, the Town’s chief administrative officer (CAO), said that arena staff have put a “considerable” amount of work into the initiative and members of the Nanton fire department have provided some in-kind support. On behalf of the Town, Smith thanked Steve Rooke and Carter Fath for clearing off the snow from the ice surface.
