Former Shanklin doctor Kenneth Kidd has died at 93

A WELL-KNOWN Isle of Wight doctor, integral in establishing Shanklin Medical Centre, has died aged 93. Kenneth Roland Kidd was born in Bath on October 2, 1927, and grew up in Bristol during the war years. His father was an innovative headmaster and his mother was an accomplished pianist. Dr Kidd studied at Bristol University, and became a GP in 1951. He represented the university in rugby and athletics. He completed national service in 1953 as a Surgeon Lieutenant with the Royal Navy Reserve Fleet, Clyde, Scotland ­ a place where he developed his love for sailing. Dr Kidd then spent several years in Somerset hospitals gaining valuable experience in A&E, obstetrics and gynaecology, initially as a resident medical officer and latterly as senior house officer.

Assault by beating, harassment, and criminal damage. 12 month community order to include 25 rehabilitation days, and an electronic curfew for 30 days between 6pm and 6am. Surcharge £95, costs £85.

Construction Update: Chelsea Curves Construction Look-Ahead Through May 1 – Chelsea Record

This is a brief overview of construction operations and traffic impacts for the Tobin Bridge/Chelsea Curves Rehabilitation Project. MassDOT will provide additional notices as needed for high-impact work, temporary ramp and street closures, and changes to traffic configurations beyond those described below. Route 1 Southbound Lane Taking (04/12-05/07) •From Monday, 4/12, through Friday, 5/07 Route 1 Southbound where it passes through the Chelsea Viaduct portion of the combined Tobin Bridge/Chelsea Curves Rehabilitation Project will experience 24/7 closure of the right lane. The two other lanes will remain open throughout the closure period during peak travel times.  •The right lane closure will assist in completing work in removing temporary asphalt, waterproofing, milling and paving, and stripping the roadway.

2 shot in Wilmington s Prices Run neighborhood late Wednesday Esteban Parra, Delaware News Journal Police investigate double shooting on Carter St. Replay Video UP NEXT A double shooting in Wilmington s Prices Run neighborhood late Wednesday has left a 22-year-old woman in critical condition.  Wilmington Police did not provide a medical condition for a 46-year-old man also wounded in Wednesday s shooting, other than to say that man was stable.  This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible, according to a Wilmington Police statement issued Thursday morning.  Wednesday s shooting occurred in the 2300 block of Carter Street shortly before 10 p.m.
