On Friday, February 23, WQAD pulled together a gallery of grandmas from across the Quad City area so celebrate them on a little-known holiday.
The day marks Gorgeous Grandmas day, and on a previous Facebook post earlier in the week, we asked viewers what makse their grandma special, great, and gorgeous.

After spending a while trying to figure out why Gorgeous Grandma has been trending, I learned that today is National Gorgeous Grandma Day.
I couldn’t quite figure how to celebrate, so after more research I learned that you can do some of the following:
Award Grandma with an official “Gorgeous Grandma” certificate
Call Gram’s up and tell her how amazing she is
Tell the world about your #GorgeousGrandma
Either way acknowledge your grandmother folks.
