THE supply and availability of the Covid-19 vaccine will be the biggest cause of delays in Ireland s rollout, an immunology expert said.
Professor of Experimental Immunology at Trinity College Dublin, Kingston Mills, said Pfizer do not have enough of the jab to go around, and are cranking up manufacturing to meets countries needs.

THE Covid-19 vaccine will be given to 20,000 Irish people per week from early January, according to Health Minister Stephen Donnelly.
The first doses of the jab will be rolled out tomorrow as the State sets up immunisations sites in four acute hospitals - and HSE doctors say potential allergic reactions to the vaccine are not a major concern .

AN AIRLINE passenger whose drunken behaviour forced a flight to divert to Cork has been fined €1,500.
Brit Gemma Campbell was so abusive towards the cabin crew on a flight from the Canary Islands to Manchester that the captain was forced to land in Ireland because of fears for the safety of all those on board.

Ms Campbell admitted to drinking in her hotel in Fuertaventura before going to the airport, consuming more drink while waiting for her flight and drinking a bottle of vodka which the cabin crew found by her seat.
