Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Darling Downs

Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating a two-vehicle traffic crash in Southbrook early this morning. Preliminary investigations indicate about 6.45am a truck was headed east on the Gore Highway when it has collided with a utility heading in the opposite direction near Geitz Road. The driver of the ute, an 18-year-old Maryborough man, died at the scene. The driver of the truck, a 26-year-old New South Wales man, was transported to the Toowoomba Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigations are continuing /Public Release.
