Los Alamos High School Olions Present [Title of Show]

The Los Alamos High School Olions are preparing for their last performance of the year: [Title of Show] – the clean version.
[Title of Show] is a musical that follows two young men named Jeff and Hunter, who make the decision to write an original musical and submit it to a theater festival. The catch is that the festival is in three weeks.
Jeff and Hunter gather their actress friends, Susan and Heidi and hire a pianist named Larry to pull the show together. With their team assembled, they work together to create a musical about creativity, imagination, community and growing together as friends.
LAPS: School Board Update From March 9 Meeting - 4:06 pm

The Los Alamos School Board met for a regular meeting Tuesday, March 9. President Melanie Colgan opened the meeting with a moment of silence in memory of Las Cruces School Superintendent Karen Trujillo. “She touched many lives as an educator and is going to be sorely missed,” Colgan said.
The board also celebrated several recognitions. Art teachers from around the district were honored as part of Youth Art Month. Britt Williams, Aspen’s art teacher, spoke for the elementary art teachers in saying that they are thankful to work in a district that supports the arts.

Three members of the Los Alamos High School Olions garnered second place in the Sparta division of the 2021 New Mexico Activities Association State High School One-Act Production Competition.
Senior Kaisa Drew and Junior Samuel Wolfsberg performed “House Manager” by Greg Vovos. In this comedy about theatre and life, a house manager has trouble closing up the theatre for the day when a persistent audience member refuses to leave. Senior Kari Mason was the director.
