Winning athletes deserve a big hand Share
YOUNG handball athletes did battle at Mordialloc Beach Primary School this month, competing in the finals of the National Handball Championships.
The championships were held at primary schools across Australia. Nearly 14,000 students have competed in the competition, with around 400 children aged between six and 12 making it to the finals.
Karingal Primary School student Xavier took out the top spot at the Mordialloc Beach Primary School event, taking home a $1000 prize.

The championships were hosted by Camp Australia. CEO of Camp Australia, Brett Comer, said “our research highlighted that following 2020, parents and principals observed a significant decrease in children’s physical and mental well-being because of the loss of participation in sports.
