Think imported: Think expensive. For years, the brewing industry has tapped into consumers preparedness to pay more for a brew made in romantic-sounding locations overseas. Times are changing, as category commentator Stephen Beaumont notes, and brewers are now more comfortable bringing production of their imported brands in-market. Will consumers let them? Well, yes; So long as they re straight with them.
Earlier this month, Anheuser-Busch InBev surprised some brewing industry observers - as well as, presumably, a much greater number of beer consumers – with the announcement that starting this summer, the group will begin production of one of its Big Three international brands on US soil. The brewing of Belgian lager Stella Artois has been lined up in St Louis before moving on to Newark, Los Angeles, and Jacksonville in Florida, following significant upgrades to those facilities.

Singapore-headquartered Inbrew Holdings Pte. Ltd, which is owned by UK-based entrepreneur Ravi Deol, has acquired Molson Coors Brewing Co.’s beer business in India, as the American firm is in the process of exiting non-core geographies.
The deal value was not disclosed. Molson Coors India Pvt. Ltd (MCIPL) is a subsidiary of Coors Brewing USA with popular beer brands in India.

Multinational brewery and pub chain BrewDog is seeking to raise A$750,000 ($810,000) as part of its plans to establish a physical presence in New Zealand. The Scottish brand, which has ballooned to operations in most major markets and has more than 100 brew pub locations, kicked off its crowdfunding in December and so far has raised A$530,000 ($570,000).
Within the next two years, BrewDog plans to have a brew bar open in Auckland.

According to Grand Rapids Business Journal, the owners of Zenned Out Kombucha have secured space and are in the process of moving in to the Downtown Market s incubator kitchen.

GRBJ reports that co-owners Kyle Manning and Matt Hoff first started with home brewing and sharing their kombucha with friends and family.
