Fans will still get to see hometown sprintcar driver and double former national champion, the retiring Jamie Larsen, race for the final time at the Robertson Holden Speedway before he competes for the final time in a sprintcar on Sunday at Harrisville. New Zealand champion Michael Pickens and 2NZ Johnathan Allard will also race. At the last sprintcar meeting at Palmerston North, Larsen passed Allard on the final corner of the 20-lap feature to win the North Island title a fortnight ago. Unfortunately Robertson said the streetstocks won t return on Saturday, as they headed to Meeannee, Napier for the second round of their series before racing at Rotorua on Sunday.
