The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has been accused of gross impersonation, assault and murder over a landed property belonging to one Alhaji Auwalu Liman in Lagos State.
It was gathered that the governor, in a bid to forcibly obtain the land for his company, Heyden Petroleum Limited, destroyed properties worth millions of naira, by using the police and other security forces to assault the landowner and occupants.

Members of Boko Haram have taken over farmlands and farming activities in Ggeidam town, in the Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The insurgents, who displaced majority residents of the town, were also said to have taken to preaching jihadist sermons to the few remaining people, mostly aged men and women, while also giving cash to them.
Gambo Abdullahi, an indigene of Geidam residing in Damaturu, said the town was still being occupied by the insurgents, while the Nigerian army troops were restricted to the western area.
He said, “The Boko Haram fighters are still in Geidam, they are in charge of the town.

A coalition of inter-faith group in Kaduna on Sunday said it is mobilising about 100,000 preachers to fast and pray to promote harmony among residents of the state.
The move was said to be part of activities to mark the United Nations’ World Interfaith Week.
Pastor Johanna Buru, one of the promoters, and also the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, Kaduna, said some Muslims clerics and worshippers from across the country would be invited to attend the prayer and break fasting in the church with their Christian brethren.
According to him, the interfaith week will provide golden opportunity for Christians and Muslims, on as well as traditional leaders to meet, “interact and deliberate on issues relating to religious tolerance.”
