Union Minister S Jaishankar, Japanese Ambassador Satoshi Suzuki Take Stock of Guwahati Water Supply Project
The Water Supply Project is being funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency. The project is being set up along the banks of the Brahmaputra.

GUWAHATI: Ahead of the upcoming Assam Assembly Polls, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and the Ambassador of Japan to India, Satoshi Suzuki, on Monday visited the Japan International Cooperation Agency funded Guwahati water supply project site along the Brahmaputra.
Union minister Jaishankar reviewed the progress of the project along with the Japanese Ambassador of Japan.
The External Affairs Minister and Ambassador of Japan to India arrived in Guwahati on Sunday evening for reviewing Indo-Japanese projects being implemented in Assam. They were received at the Lokopriyo Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport by Assam State Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary.
Devotees can enter Kamakhya temple without COVID-19 testing from Dec 16
The devotees can enter the premises of Kamakhya Temple without COVID testing from Dec 16. One needs to produce COVID-negative results to enter the Shakti Peeth.

Guwahati: A good news for the Kamakhya temple devotees, as the Maa Kamakhya devotees do not need to go through a COVID-19 test to enter the premises of the Kamkhya temple, Guwahati, Assam. From December 16, devotees can go for Kamakhya darshan without the COVID-19 test certificate.
However, it is to mention that anyone who would want to enter the Shakti Peeth (Sanctum sanctorum) of the temple, they have to produce a COVID negative test certificate.
