Anyone who dined at or ordered take-out from the Vinehaven Drive NE Waffle House off Copperfield Boulevard in Concord could have been exposed to hepatitis A, if they visited between 9 p.m. June 20 and 7 a.m. June 21, according to a Cabarrus Health Alliance news release. The alliance is the county s health department. The Waffle House is off Interstate 85 Exit 60.

WCCB Charlotte s CW July 2, 2021 KANNAPOLIS, N.C. Cabarrus Health Alliance officials are investigating a possible exposure of Hepatitis A at a Waffle House in Concord. Officials say an infected Waffle House worker may have spread the virus to others who bought or ate food from the restaurant located on Vinehaven Drive on June 20th or June 21st. Health officials urge anyone who visited the Waffle House on those days to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine to prevent contracting the virus that affects the liver. The virus is spread when someone ingests it, even in microscopic amounts, through close personal contact, or through eating contaminated food or drink.
