CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) â The Conway City Council will hold a public hearing to amend and update the transportation element of the cityâs comprehensive plan, staff said.
According to information from the city of Conway, the hearing will be held Monday, April 19 at 4 p.m. inside City Hall, located at 229 Main Street.
The transportation element consists of planning efforts, streets, complete streets, public transit, planned projects, proposed projects, flooding and funding mechanisms for the city.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) – The city of Conway has become the latest municipality in Horry County to end its mask mandate.
Conway City Council voted 4-3 in favor of ending its COVID-19 emergency declaration and the ordinance that required people to wear masks in certain places, such as restaurants and retail stores.
The declaration and mandate will expire on Tuesday.
Last week, the city of Myrtle Beach made the decision to end its mask mandate.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) – Jet ski tours will soon be added to the list of things that people can do along the Waccamaw River.
On Tuesday night, the Conway City Council approved adding jet ski ramps to the marina to allow the tours.
Adam Buckler, the owner of PWC Explorers, said he has been bringing groups down to the Waccamaw River to explore the area.
He brought the idea to city leaders to allow jet ski ramps in order to bring guided tours so that people could enjoy not only the Waccamaw River but also experience historic downtown Conway.
