Last Tuesday was a historic day . Something uncommon happened that has brewed a lot of commentaries in the social and public space. The Church of Pentecost donated a prison infrastructure to the Ghana Prisons Service at Ejura in the Ashanti Region. The facility, the first of five, being constructed for the Ghana Prisons Service has Recreational Facilities (footbal pitch), Chapel (which also doubles as a classroom) and Baptistery, Infirmary, Workshop to train prisoners in employable skills and many other facilities .
Although some of us expected all and sundry to applaud the efforts of the church and encourage her leadership to do more, it turned out that many have elected to bombard the church with a barrage of unnecessary attacks.
